Thesis Statement

Texting on a cellular device has become a huge distraction for people while they are operating a vehicle. In response to this increasing problem, the U.S. law system should communicate with cell phone companies in the coming months to restrict the service of texting while drivers are operating a vehicle on the road, for example companies create cell phones that have a sensor that will only allow calling while people are driving.

  1. I agree that texting while driving should be illegal. I am not sure that your solution could work?

  2. Didn't they already make a law that says texting while driving a motor vehicle is illeagal. Im also not really sure how your solution is going to help the problem of texting while driving. i think all phones should come with a hands-free device to make using a phone while driving more safe for all people.

  4. I think you wrote the wrong thing. "...for example companies create cell phones that have a sensor that will only allow calling while people are driving". I think you meant to say aren't. In that case none of the passengers would be able to use their phones while someone else is driving, and what about emergencies? I agree with your stance, but your solution is a little weak.

  5. Great topic. Your issue and solution is very clear and to the point. I like how your are thinking toward the future and creating more technology to help solve the issue of texting while driving. As a side note, I found out that in Maryland texting is against the law effective last October 1st. I like your topic, and look forward to seeing what you come up with!
